    English-Chinese Reciation Version of Tao Te Ching is mainly based on the Verrion A of the Silk Books by Lao Tzu, which took nearly five years to compile by Mr. Wu Gaolin, a former senior translator of the Ministry of foreign affairs of China. The author,Mr. Wu Gaolin, has been preparing for translation since 2008. He has carefully read various Chinese annotated versions and English versions of Dao De Jing, and determined to translate them into classics.

About the Author

Colin Wu:
Wu was born in Hunan, China in 1964. In 1981, he entered the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Languages to study the English language & literature. After graduation, he served as a diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in China. Since 1992, he migrated to America and has been active in the Sino-U.S. political and business circles. He is committed to the economic, trade, business, scientific and technological innovation, culture and art exchanges between the two countries. In 2005, he was appointed to chair the China Office of the U.S.-China Business Association. In 2012, he founded the Hong Kong Intellectual Property Exchange, and in 2019, he won the award of “Charming China-Leader of the Innovative Economy”.
Wu earned an M.A. degree in history at Eastern Illinois University in 1994. In 1993, he was in the graduate program of Arts Management at the School of Public Administration of the University of Illinois in Springfield. In 1985, he majored in Diplomacy at the Beijing Foreign Affairs College and received a diploma for career diplomat training. In 1985, he was awarded a degree of B.A. in English Language & Literature from the Shanghai Institute of Foreign Languages.
